ARE YOU SERIOUS?

Why aren't these in my possession right now? Oh yeah, because they probably cost a lot of money. I want them so bad it's sick.

Pretty Lady

I love these photos. A smiling Dita is so pretty. Her makeup is flawless as always.

Thriftstore Score

While thrift shopping today I totally scored and found a Chemex coffee maker! Designed in 1941, it is a design icon.

Seberg Says.

Watch and learn.

Beautiful Genius.

If you don't know about Hedy Lamarr, read this.
I'm surprised no one has made a movie about her fascinating life. On a side note, she really makes a center part look appealing. But she had a perfect nose, so that makes sense.

If I Knew You Were Coming...

I'd have baked a heart shaped cake and made you a monster sandwich! I love old cookbook pictures, and if you do too then check out Curly Wurly. There's lots to see and laugh about. I saved a few of the crazier ones on my desktop with the hopes of recreating them next party that I have(I'm hoping to veganize a few too). It will be interesting to say the least.

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope you had a night to remember.

Pagoda Umbrellas

Strange fact:I have never really owned an umbrella. My warped reasoning has been that I'd rather just get wet than carry an ugly one, but these are something else. Very old school but with a little edge. Also, since it seems to be getting back to warm, there are some summer parasols as well that look very nice and some authentic vintage umbrellas as well. As a fan of the shade I will be looking into a few for summer, and I'm definitely toying with the idea of just joining the masses and getting an umbrella already. Oh and one last thing, the red ones are on sale for Valentine's Day!

Find the umbrella here-Umbrellas.Net

I originally spotted them here- Mrs.Lillien

Love is in the Air!

I just adore Valentine's Day, which is funny because normally I hate gooey stuff and I'm not one for chocolate...but there's something about cards and hearts and the color red that get me so happy inside. I'm making my Valentine's Day game plan right now, procrastinator to the fullest-and I am really excited. I'm thinking flirtinis (like last year), red lipstick (like always), and a whole bunch of red. Now I just need to decide on a movie. I'm thinking classic Hollywood, with some nice old fashioned romance, but also a nice plot so as not to torture my boyfriend! Any suggestions?

Pee Wee's Playhouse!

Me and Robert are celebrating Valentine's Day one week early and going to the Pee Wee Herman Show. I cannot tell you how excited I am! It is a childhood dream come true! I cannot wait.....it actually feels like Christmas Eve to me right now.

Marilyn...

How cool is Marilyn's hair here? Kinda radical for the 1950's, no?

RIP Ritchie Valens

Ritchie Valens has always been one of my musical favorites and his story is equal parts inspiration and tragedy held together by immense talent. If you ever get a chance Rhino Records has a really nice boxed set on Ritchie that is very impressive and informative. Ritchie, Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper died on this day 51 years ago. Ritchie was only 17. His career was short, but his influence is still felt in music today.

Making it Easy.

Space 1520 is making Valentines Day a one stop shop this year, so if you want to check it out! I'm thinking personally I'd be all about a book from Hennessey and Ingalls, but I'm a nerd like that. I'm kinda curious what kind of fun may be had here, they usually have a pretty high hipster ratio....but I won't hold it against them. Besides any place with a photo booth is cool by me.

Valentines Day Ideas Part One:

Isn't this too precious? It can be personalized and is the type of thing any girl would love, including myself (wink, wink). On top of that the price is really nice starting at $170. Check it out here .
