Beauty is Pain's Circus-Clown-Freakshow Party!

My sister Karla came up just so we could be Siamese Twins. We based our costume on the famous twins Cheng and Eng. It was a great night, and I really had a blast.

The Clown here is married to the tattooed man below.

Eng got tired pretty fast.

The fire breather also did sword swallowing.

The Ringleader was Rio Warner, owner and designer or Beauty is Pain. She put on a great show and is great at planning a unique party. If you ever need a one of a kind party, she's the one to get.

Check out the shop and go to their parties, you will not be disappointed!

Piel Canela

I am loving this song so much right now!

Black and White

I love the simplicity of this. She looks like a chic schoolgirl in the most un-tarty kind of way. I love the look of a personal uniform.

south of the border, down mexico way...

I am so excited to be heading to Rosarito for a few days. I haven't been there in years and I literally cannot wait. I've been packing all night, since I am both overly neurotic and indecisive. When I leave town, even if just for a day I find myself packing a ton of clothing options and beauty products...it's nuts. However, I've been playing some pretty snazzy music to keep myself company (and a vodka soda helps as well..), so I figured I'd share my playlist with you:

Ornette Coleman-Tomorrow is the Question
Sonny Rollins-Saxophone Colossus
Grand Ole Party-Humanimals
Sigur Ros
Simple, easy and fun. Just put it on shuffle.

Always Re-apply.

We've all done it.She just did it way better.

Clown Cake!!

A little dose of happy for you. I love clowns! I know that makes me a freak, but I just don't see what's so scary about them...even the sad ones look happy.

Hello,Cruel World....

It's a cruel cruel world that these babies are not in my closet. I wish I didn't know they existed, because now I'm infatuated. I would literally cry from joy if I owned these. So, if you know anyone who wants to buy them for me...

A genius promo for a genius blog. I love it!

Vegan 4th of July Recipe

Red, White, and Blue Fruit Terrine

2 Cups grape-peach juice (or juice of choice)
1 1/2 tsp. agar powder
2 tbsp. agave nectar (optional--use only if your fruit is not very sweet)
10 ounces strawberries
2 bananas
1 1/2 cups blueberries

-Put one cup of the juice in a saucepan, and sprinkle the agar over it and allow it to soften for a few minutes.

-Then, heat on medium-high, stirring, until the agar is completely dissolved and the juice begins to boil in the remaining juice and the agave (optional) and remove from heat.

-Allow the agar mixture to cool slightly while you prepare the fruit. Be sure to stir the juice every minute or so.

-Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them lengthwise. Place them on the bottom of a loaf pan, prettiest sides down.

-Slice the bananas and place them on top of the strawberries. Put the blueberries in an even layer on top of the bananas.

-Gently pour the juice mixture evenly over the berries. It will start to jell immediately, so work from side to side to make sure it's distributed evenly.

-Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until completely chilled and jelled.

-Invert over a platter to serve (you may need to lower the pan into a large bowl of hot water to loosen the edges and run a knife along the inside of the mold.)

Belle of the ball?

And speaking of hair, I'm thinking of going a little shorter. My main reasoning is because I absolutely love the look of Camila Belle's classy bob. I think it would be very easy to look polished with a hairstyle like that.So...we'll see...

Oh You Pretty Thing

I have to figure out how to do this to my hair. It looks just so timeless and avant garde at the same time. I think it helps that the model is the insanely beautiful late great Gia Carangi. She could make a shower cap look sexy!

A View From the Top.

The best thing in the world, is going to a party with a view. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

Moonwalker

A lot has been said about Michael Jackson and his legacy this past week, but I think his own words say it best. Also, I love this part of "Moonwalker."
"My goal in life is to give to the world what I was lucky to receive: the ecstasy of divine union through my music and my dance."- Michael Jackson

"If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with."- Michael Jackson
