Stopped into Rite Aid today and noticed the big red wall of love-Valentines day has invaded. I haven't had a single girl's Valentine's Day in 7 years, but here's to new traditions. This year I think I'm going to embrace the day and just go out with my ladies. Instead of exchanging candy we can get each other makeup and mixed Cd's a la 1990. I also plan to get dolled up and go somewhere totally inappropriate, like a strip club or a buffet. And while I can live without the chocolates, I do plan on one V-day ritual, the flirtini. Always good, and always appropriate-for the taken ladies and the single ones too!

Love is in the Air!
I just adore Valentine's Day, which is funny because normally I hate gooey stuff and I'm not one for chocolate...but there's something about cards and hearts and the color red that get me so happy inside. I'm making my Valentine's Day game plan right now, procrastinator to the fullest-and I am really excited. I'm thinking flirtinis (like last year), red lipstick (like always), and a whole bunch of red. Now I just need to decide on a movie. I'm thinking classic Hollywood, with some nice old fashioned romance, but also a nice plot so as not to torture my boyfriend! Any suggestions?

Making it Easy.
Space 1520 is making Valentines Day a one stop shop this year, so if you want to check it out! I'm thinking personally I'd be all about a book from Hennessey and Ingalls, but I'm a nerd like that. I'm kinda curious what kind of fun may be had here, they usually have a pretty high hipster ratio....but I won't hold it against them. Besides any place with a photo booth is cool by me.
Valentines Day Ideas Part One:
Isn't this too precious? It can be personalized and is the type of thing any girl would love, including myself (wink, wink). On top of that the price is really nice starting at $170. Check it out here .

Valentines Day is upon us....
The drugstores are once again filled with cheap hearts full of chocolate and red and pink are taking over. I love it, and not for romantic reasons so much as red and pink are my favorite colors. I do however plan on making some flirtinis and wearing something pretty with red lipstick...call me a traditionalist. As for gifts I'm looking to buy Rob this shirt, modeled by the fabulous Albert Hammond Jr. But the store doesn't have it! Off to the vintage shops to search out something like it I guess.
What are your plans?
