Summer Reading List

Everyone who knows me knows my public library obsession. There is something so fabulous about being allowed to borrow any book you want for two weeks.It's great. I love it. I highly recommend it. If you live by a library, you have no excuse for boredom. Any suggestions for things to pick up?I think I'm gonna start my own Summer reading list.

I was almost named Bianca. That would have been great. Bianca Jagger seems like one of the coolest ladies ever.

The Boyfriend's Closet

I don't know when it started, but for some reason when I feel as if I have nothing to wear I raid my boyfriend's closet. I'm not sure if it's the simplicity or the comfort,but I love wearing men's shirts and cardigans with my girly items. I came across these postings on the Vintage Society and was thrilled to see looks similar to those that I wear when I go shirt snatching from the Boyfriend's closet. So much fun, and really so effortlessly chic!

Orange Crush

I'm going through a major love affair with orange lipstick right now. I keep hearing how difficult it is to pull off, but I'm not buying it.It's just like red lipstick,you just need to find the correct shade for your skin tone. I'm quite pale, so it a coral works on me. And it's a fun shade for summer. If you have a bit of a tan I'd suggest a little bit of gloss or frost with it like the picture up top. Don't be scared of makeup! This is a fun color! Orange nail polish is great too. Maybe it's the fact that my dining room wall is orange and I've gotten very used to the brightness, either way...I like it!

Last Night

So, my passport arrived in the mail this afternoon and my mind is reeling. A lack of a passport has been my one true barrier to travel. And now my boyfriend and I are thinking of Spain. Which of course makes me think of one of the prettiest movies I've seen, "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." Wasn't it just breathtaking? These stills from the film are just what I need to remember while I'm saving my money for the trip.

Today, I'm going to the Valley to do some thrift shopping. I will keep you posted if I find anything amazing, or even some glitter!

A Perfect Way to Spend Summer.

This photo pretty much sums up my summer desires: a book, a bicycle, cool shorts, some stripes, shade, and cool grass. If she had some lemonade and a picnic basket I might die of envy!

Uncovered Treasure

These recently discovered photos of Marilyn Monroe are so beautiful. I love that they were taken at Griffith Park.
