Okay so this is it...

So, now I really need to get finished making my little party finished. I'm optimistic for next year and ready for some changes. Here's to a happy, healthy, interesting New Year! Why not start it with some karaoke??? Nothing funnier than tipsy midnight karoke to a song nobody knows the words to! Cheers!

Resolutions...Resolutions

I know they are a silly traditon that no one follows much anymore, or even takes seriously. But I quite like resolutions. What's not to like really? The ability to start over new and strive to change one thing that could use improvement. And who couldn't use a little improvement? I could! So, here's mine:

1.Stop Biting my Nails.-I've fought this habit since I was three, it's about time that I beat it.

2.Drink as minimally as possible.-I hate hangovers and need to learn my limits..i'm not a teenager anymore.

3.Spend money wisely.-Basically this means less cheap stuff, instead save for the good stuff. And by this I mean clothing...vintage clothing!

These are all pretty important to me, so I'm that posting them will help me stick to it.

To party or not?

I keep toying with the idea if having a New Years Eve party. Should I really go through all that trouble? I'd really like to just have some friends, some drinks, good music and some silly party favors and have a great time. I just don't know if the procrastination will kill it. I think I might just have to try...if it's a bust then I'll walk out and around Hollywood and find something better to do I suppose.

Random compliments can be wonderful.

Today a lady told me I was the "Epitome of femininity." And she wasn't trying to sell me anything either. She really made my day, because I sure don't feel that way at all. It's nice when strangers can make you smile with something so simple.

daniela kamiliotis @ The Selby

I've become very obsessed with The Selby lately. Seeing into the homes of such a diverse crowd is so inspiring-especially the artists. I was especially taken with the workspace of Daniela Kamiliotis, the vice president of the women's collection of Ralph Lauren. Her office is just brilliant. Here's a bit of my favorites:

You can tell so much about someone from their bookshelf. A huge warning sign for me is the lack of one. It always makes me wonder. A large collection of a variety of books however, is a great first impression for me.
I absolutely adore her rings, I'd love to get my hands on just one of those signet rings.

And the feathers! There is something so enchanting about the fragility of feathers and the complexities of nature. I don't think any textile designer could ever match their beauty.

I'm noticing that I've posted a lot of youtube stuff lately, and while I hope this doesn't seem like a youtube blog, I just can't help it. I try to fill this blog with things that I find inspiring and lovely. And lately that's included a bit of youtube....
