Grey Gardens

Well, I loved the movie and decided to do a little search on Little Edie. What great shots they have floating around on the Internet. She was a beauty in her day that's for sure. My favorite is the handwritten sign, they should make it a poster.

Oh Jemaine.....

I've been watching a lot of Flight of the Concords( I know I'm terribly late on this), and I've gotta admit...I'm seriously obsessed with Jemaine. He's the dreamiest....I thought it might be the glasses, but no! Because I found this and he looks even cuter. I think it boils down to the sarcasm. And the lips...Lucky for me,my boyfriend finds the whole thing pretty funny. And he's happy that I want to watch the show, because he just loves it. The one down side is that I keep catching myself singing songs like "Sugar Lumps," and "Business Time." Constantly.

Wow.It's been a long long while.

I've been meaning to update, but I just haven't. Here's a little of what I've been up to,in no particular order... A fun Cinco de Mayo...
A trip to visit the family in North County
Karaoke @ TheBigfoot Lodge
Dancing @ Diamond Dogs
*I've also watched a lot of Flight of the Concords, celebrated a birthday, and enjoyed a fun yet dorky Sex and the City night with the girls...

All Dressed Up.

Maybe it's the new haircut, maybe it's the weather, maybe it's Hollywood-but I have just been craving to get dressed up and hit the town. Something about a dress and some hairspray that just feels terrific. Don't you agree?

It's getting hot...

The Frolic Room

Last Thursday we set out a little too late to really see the Art walk Downtown, so we came back to Hollywood and went to the Frolic Room. I've been wanting to go there forever just because of the great sign outside, and I'm so happy I did. The drinks were delicious, stiff and priced well ($6 for a Cuba libre, half the price of a standard drink in LA). On top of that the jukebox played all the goodies:PIL, Roy Orbison, and Dwight Yoakam. The upholstery is red vinyl and there's a mural of all the Hollywood's Golden age of stars. Not to mention they had the fastest, coolest bartender in town. Oh yeah, and popcorn-delicious popcorn. What else could you want? I know everyone says it, but I'll say it again:This place is the best!

James Dean

We went to Griffith Park last Monday and the James Dean bust looked off. He needed some eyes, or the very least some glasses, so I lent him mine! Now he looks like the James Dean I know.
